I have accumulated quite a number of hours on this game but I haven’t experienced any online gameplay except for online hubs. For me as a newcomer and a huge basketball fan in general, this game is all I’ve ever wanted. This is my first NBA 2K game, so I have no right to compare it to previous 2K games which may or may not be quite similar games with some upgrades throughout the years. This is one of the biggest cash grab titles out there, with one of the worst communities anywhere in gaming, stay the f**k away for real. Better yet, do yourself a favor and just wait until literally anyone else out there makes a passable streetball sim and watch all the basketball fans who area being held hostage by this garbage jump ship, you can hop on then. In conclusion, if you are going to buy this embarrassment of a game and you don't already have friends who play on PC, just get it on console.
Skillful aspects of the game often purposely get changed significantly so nobody can really carry over any knowledge / muscle memory to the next year, again catering to the lowest common denominator and new players.

The PC community has been begging for SOME type of at least vague action for close to a decade now, dead silence by the company (that is since the blatant disrespect by the "community manager" in 2018 essentially telling PC players to deal with it). Cheaters have absolutely no fear of getting banned or restricted in any way whatsoever. Milking the community with absurd P2W "Micro" transactions, even compared to other sports games.
